Have Game, Will Play: Table Top Racing

Table Top Racing started as a mobile racing game and still maintains its optional micro transaction roots. You can compete and earn coins in the various challenges and/or you can buy coins to upgrade and purchase whatever your heart desires. The racing mechanics are fairly simple; stick to move, buttons for accelerating, braking and using items found on the track. The drift mechanics, strangely enough, does not require an additional button. However is it basically finding the inside track and sticking with it through turns. The power-ups are the boost, EMP, mines(that look like bombs) and rockets that lock-on. I found the EMP to be very useful for standing out in or leaving the crowd. Along with a leveling system Table Top Racing can be enjoyed on the Vita ad hoc or online. I am usually able to find one game at a time online, this does not bode well for the future. Overall Table Top Racing is a fun game that controls well but doesn’t have any real personality or anything to keep you coming back.
