  2. The Seattle Times reported in early September 2015 that Microsoft had hired architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to begin a multibillion-dollar redesign of the Redmond
campus, using an additional 1.4 million square
feet (130,000 m2) allowed by an agreement with the City of Redmond.

In 2009, a shopping mall called “The Commons” was completed on the campus,
bringing 1.4 million square feet (130,000 m2) of retail space,
as well as restaurants, a soccer field and pub to the
West Campus. It is estimated to encompass over 8 million square feet
(740,000 m2) of office space and 30,000–40,000 employees.
The all-electric buildings are completely fossil-fuel free, drawing renewable energy from off-site
sources and the campus’s Thermal Energy Center, which houses a
geothermal system that provides heating and cooling for 18 buildings.

At the heart of the new section lies a two-acre (0.8 ha) plaza that can host events and gatherings for both employees and the public.

A new pedestrian bridge over State Route 520 links East and West Campuses, extends a
local bike trail, and connects to Sound Transit’s Redmond Technology Station.
Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum certification and the International Living Future Institute’s Zero Carbon certification and has achieved Salmon Safe
Certification. These efforts have made low-carbon concrete the
default option for local suppliers, with no cost premium.

The Pedestrian Bridge connects Microsoft’s East and West Campus,
creating a direct connection between the distinct areas of campus while also eliminating the need for cars
to traverse campus. Terraces integrated with the
buildings allow for connection with nature, and are
planted with native species, irrigated with stored rainwater.

The initial campus was on a 30-acre (12 ha) lot with six buildings, and was able to accommodate 800 employees but eventually
grew to 1,400 by 1988. Building 92 on the campus contains a visitor center (with interactive
exhibits) and store that are open to the public. Able to accommodate more than 6,000 employees, the seven new office
buildings range from four to five stories and are arranged in an urban-inspired, pedestrian-friendly setting.

  3. I see plenty of sense in the Alza being a family car if you have two kids (I don’t, but
my parents loved the space), versus a B-segment passenger
car (picture a child seat, a stroller and a week’s worth of groceries).
Speaking of drinks, there are handy cupholders on the rear doors (arm level,
appropriate for hot beverages) and a row of them in the bin below.
Couple this with a wide range of backrest recline, a fold down centre armrest
and a three-speed blower, this is as good as it gets for rear accommodation below RM100k.
    Now, it’s a usable 137 litres (+54L, good for a
couple of duffel bags). The larger body yields more interior
room for both humans and cargo – interior length with the second row
seats pushed furthest back is 2,765 mm, which is a significant 115 mm more than before.

From an exceptional 24-hour butler service and lavish amenities
