In a fictitious future things have gone awry on an outer space research center. The humans aboard are left a motionless state. Fortunately there’s a contingency; that’s the good news. The bad news is that all hope of rescue lies with a single point of failure. The aptly named Rescue Robot aboard the research center must live up to its name.

The trend of puzzle platformers continues with Constant C. Constant C allows players to control Rescue Robot has he attempts gather data and figure out what went wrong on the space station. The AI aboard will assist the robot with its task. For an AI it has a very interesting personality and reveals that it may know more about the incident than it will initially admit to.

The gameplay consists of jumping, pulling levers and the usual platforming fare. However the robot has a time field around it that can draw and repel certain objects within the environment. So jumping near objects can effect their position. Once you acquire the ability to rotate the levels themselves things get really interesting.

Constant C has some devilishly difficult environmental puzzles to solve but once you have collected the data, via small capsules, and reached the exit you will leave with a sense of satisfaction. To say that Constant C is a fresh take on the genre would be overly generous.
However IGS have given Constant C a quirky backstory, funny dialogue and fun but challenging gameplay. Which is enough to compete with the best of its kind.
