Have Game, Will Play: Gunman Clive 2 Review

Clive is back and still employing his limited yet solid platforming techniques. Gunman Clive 2 from Hörberg Productions allows players to control Clive, Ms. Johnson, Chieftan Bob and a duck. Clive controls similarly to pre-sliding Mega Man, Ms Johnson can float much like Peach in Super Mario Bros. 2, Chieftan Bob is his own difficulty level with his melee attack and the duck is apparently a pacifist. The retro inspiration is undeniable with a lack of level checkpoints and the ability to only shoot left or right. The game allows the characters to use a wide variety of gameplay mechanics within a diverse set of environments. Gravity-defying levels, panda/dinosaur as conveyances, minecart riding and even flying  are just some of Gunman Clive 2’s offerings. The game has 25 levels with fantastic boss battles and for platforming fans who own a 3DS(2DS) it is a must buy.
