Story Here

Basically the 4-player online create mode for Little Big Planet will not be available at launch. It will be coming with a major update. Sucks.

Not that anyone really cares but that previously announced multiplayer mode for the Incredible Hulk for the Xbox 360 has been released. Timing is indeed everything.

Red Faction has gone 3rd-person and now that destructible environments are becoming the norm much of the charm is gone. But this is just a beta.

Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire remake complete

I grew up playing many Sierra games. QFG was my favorite series. The original QFG was given the point and click -VGA upgrade by Sierra many years ago, as an offical release. QFGII was not. QFG3: wages of War was released when most PC games moved beyond the input of phrases and commands via keyboard when point and click became the norm. An effort,by AGD Interactive, to give the second game a facelift came to my attention some time last year. I was very excited to know that it was released. I will give my impressions of it some time in the near future. Thank you in advanced AGD Interactive.

Helix, developed by Ghostfire games, for Wiiware was released today. It is a moving/dancing game that uses two wiimotes. I watched the video and I thought about buying it. Lost Winds is probably getting lonely on my Wii’s internal storage. But $10? I may play it for a day just like I did with Wii Fit. Which is now at a friend’s house where it is currently not collecting dust.

Too Human Demo Hands-on

Cut-scenes and a mini boss fight

More combat gameplay

Well after 10 years of talk, 3 different proposed systems, and several 1up Yours rants Too Human is finally playable for the gaming masses in the form of a 360 demo.  Having very little knowledge of Norse mythology I probably should have read up a little bit prior to playing the demo.  This game has a long history and recently the President of Silicon Knights(developer of Too Human), Dennis Dyack, upped the ante with a wager with some NeoGaf users.  I really want him to win his wager. Something inside me really wants to see Too Human defy all that critics and detractors and become highly successful.

Too Human’s controls seem like they will take some getting used to. I really wanted the right analog stick to control the camera. However, players can press the left bumper to switch to Baldur’s curren view. Combat was another aspect that I didn’t really get a good grasp on but some more time with TH can remedy that.  The types of enemies I faced seemed limited but that’s expected with a demo. My interest has definetly increased having completed the 40+ min demo. The full game should be out in a couple weeks and I look forward to putting some time into it.

Mega Man 9, no one asked but Capcom answers

Having heard so much recently about the Bionic Commando remake, 1942, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Splatterhouse(to a slightly lesser extent) Capcom just hits us in the head with a new retro Mega Man game. Mega Man 9 is not flashy, probably lack online play  and appears to be 8 bit and for whatever reason I am very excited to play it.

Yet another nerdy goal for the week.

Basically someone tweaked a Punch-out Rom to enable Bongo support for the Wii. I have four bongos (seriously) so why not put one of them to work. My copy of Twilight Princess should be here this week so perhaps I will be able to try it out for myself. In case you don’t know what Twilight Princess has to do with Homebrew read this article. The full article about the Punch-out can be read at this link.

Today is Bungie Day. Whatever that means. Bungie offered up a “free” map to people who have purchased the Legendary map pack.  The map is Cold Storage which is a remake/update of the Halo map Chill Out.

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix Beta

News about this title has been around for a time almost as long as it’s name. I found it strange that it kept getting pushed back(unreleased) when more SFIV information became available. It’s similar to the release of Soul Calibur IV and the XBL release of the original Soul Calibur. How much interest will there be in a flashy remake of a classic game with the impending release of a real sequel? Honestly, alot. I played the beta and I really enjoyed it. The beta is limited to Ryu and Ken but who cares, the matches were lag free. Which is a claim that the previous SF on XBL cannot make. The new sprites(if I can call them that) look great and I finally justified the 800 MS points I spent on Wolf of the Battlefield Commando 3. Capcom has another remake/redo that I am looking forward to as well.
