As mentioned in Episode 58, I jumped into the world of controller modding and purchased a set of Evil Sticks from Evilcontrollers.com.  Disclaimer: BigRob games hard and games in style but is not a fan of modding specifically to cheat the system.  Xbox live polices itself, so i guess the system eventually works.  Whatever.  Morality aside… in addition to modding, evilcontrollers provides gamers with high quality custom parts, replacements and upgrades.  These visual upgrades provide a nice aesthetic and certain flair that definitely has appeal.

The Move………..ment Part 1

Posted in Announcements, Game Peripherals, Game Reviews, Games, Superfluous on September 28th, 2010 by Ind1fference

Having had several false starts last week with Sony Move purchases,  I finally went to my local Kmart to pick one up on Saturday. My rationale was a deal that Kmart was offering for a $25 PS3 game coupon with the purchase of the Move bundle. I will freely admit that I am a sucker for a deal as well as a new gadget. So I am now the owner of Sony’s Wii reaction.

Pandora/Level5 Roid, from where?

Posted in Game Peripherals, Mobile App, Superfluous on October 3rd, 2008 by Ind1fference

Apparently this device comes from Level 5(creators of Prof. Layton and Dragon Quest VIII) and it allows you to download PC and mobile games. I still don’t get it. Nor do I get this:

Article on Roid

This handheld device that I think came from the creators?/fans? of the GPX systems. It will cost around ~$330 and is already “available”. Pandora is selling out quickly as several thousand are produced at a time. It runs Ubuntu and was designed in order to run games like Quake 3 and Firefox.

PS3 Keypad

Posted in Game Peripherals on August 26th, 2008 by Ind1fference

Looks kind of interesting but not for $50. I found it funny that the Sony rep during Leipzig initially had trouble attaching it the dualshock3. Being an owner of the chatpad I know how useful these accessories can be. The chatpad is $30 though. The current projected price of the keypad must be a placeholder. Time will tell.

Yet another nerdy goal for the week.

Posted in Game Peripherals, Games on July 8th, 2008 by Ind1fference

Basically someone tweaked a Punch-out Rom to enable Bongo support for the Wii. I have four bongos (seriously) so why not put one of them to work. My copy of Twilight Princess should be here this week so perhaps I will be able to try it out for myself. In case you don’t know what Twilight Princess has to do with Homebrew read this article. The full article about the Punch-out can be read at this link.

Game Depot: Nyko Perfect Shot

Posted in Game Peripherals on April 12th, 2008 by Ind1fference

My hands-on video with the Nyko Perfect Shot. It works considerably better than the Wii Zapper. I still think that Link’s Crossbow Training is fun but it only comes with the Zapper. Hopefully tomorrow I can post some videos of the Perfect Shot in action with the Link’s Crossbow Training and Medal of Honor Heroes 2.
