Castle Crashers Video Review

Posted in Game Reviews on August 30th, 2008 by Ind1fference

This one takes me back to the time when a popular genre consisted of gameplay where you walkedto the right and hit things. Castle Crashers is a lot of fun and well worth the 1200 MS points. Although the online portion is buggy I still had some good games. Bottom Line: Good Buy

Red Faction Guerrilla Beta

Red Faction has gone 3rd-person and now that destructible environments are becoming the norm much of the charm is gone. But this is just a beta.

PS3 Keypad

Posted in Game Peripherals on August 26th, 2008 by Ind1fference

Looks kind of interesting but not for $50. I found it funny that the Sony rep during Leipzig initially had trouble attaching it the dualshock3. Being an owner of the chatpad I know how useful these accessories can be. The chatpad is $30 though. The current projected price of the keypad must be a placeholder. Time will tell.

Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire remake complete

Posted in Games on August 25th, 2008 by Ind1fference

I grew up playing many Sierra games. QFG was my favorite series. The original QFG was given the point and click -VGA upgrade by Sierra many years ago, as an offical release. QFGII was not. QFG3: wages of War was released when most PC games moved beyond the input of phrases and commands via keyboard when point and click became the norm. An effort,by AGD Interactive, to give the second game a facelift came to my attention some time last year. I was very excited to know that it was released. I will give my impressions of it some time in the near future. Thank you in advanced AGD Interactive.

Shake it!

Helix, developed by Ghostfire games, for Wiiware was released today. It is a moving/dancing game that uses two wiimotes. I watched the video and I thought about buying it. Lost Winds is probably getting lonely on my Wii’s internal storage. But $10? I may play it for a day just like I did with Wii Fit. Which is now at a friend’s house where it is currently not collecting dust.

Stumbling blocks

Posted in Announcements on August 19th, 2008 by Ind1fference

I recorded footage of Geo Wars 2, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and Red Faction Guerilla for reviews and gameplay footage respectively.  But for whatever reason the software I use to convert the files for editing is not converting well(at all). I plan on restarting the podcast next week(hope Couchlock is ready) and if the tech demons allow me to use my software as intended I’d like to get some late reviews up.  I could put up my written reviews and then add the videos……..

Please excuse the inactivity

I am out of town this week but I promise when I return I will have some more reviews and content up. Couchlock is out of the country but we may try to do a show anyway. I really wish had my 360 with me so I could play Braid and Geo Wars 2. I do have Geo Wars for the DS. I didn’t really appreciate it before but now that Geo Wars 2 has me hooked I am loving the DS game.

I am having some issues getting the show to a state suitable for audible consumption. I will keep at it and hopefully I’ll have it up tonight.
